Description

Turn climbing into a little work of art.

Climbing plants need something to believe in. Our Hummingbird Plant Trellis gives them a confident path skyward, with a honeycomb grid that’s as functional as it is beautiful and a hovering hummingbird to keep watch. Slide it into a pot or bed and you’ll see faster, healthier growth with fewer broken stems and a lot more elegance on the shelf, sill, or patio.

Plant‑boosting support... hexagon grid guides vines upward for stronger, tidier growth
Premium quality... 1/8‑inch (3 mm) Corten steel that develops a protective patina
Original artwork... signature hummingbird perched over honeycomb
Root‑safe install... slim stake fits at pot edge to avoid main roots
Sized for versatility... 10.5 in (27 cm) high by 5.5 in (14 cm) wide, ~8oz (227 g)
Gift‑ready... compact 11" x 8" x ¼" (28 x 20 x 0.6 cm) packaging

Root‑friendly setup in minutes

  1. Pre‑water the soil – slightly moist soil protects roots and eases insertion.
  2. Place at the perimeterinsert at pot edge or the bed’s drip line to avoid the root ball.
  3. Set a gentle leantilt 5–10° toward the plant so stems rest naturally.
  4. Train the climberloop soft ties or twine loosely around the honeycomb.
  5. Check weeklyretie as stems thicken and encourage new tendrils to climb.

Top Tip: Pair with trailing plants in a bright window and rotate the pot every few days—growth stays even and the hummingbird always faces the light.

Which plants love this trellis?
Pothos, philodendron, monstera adansonii, jasmine, black‑eyed Susan vine, sweet peas, beans—any trailing or climbing plant that benefits from vertical structure.

Is Corten steel safe for houseplants?
Yes. It forms a stable patina. For very light surfaces, place a saucer/liner under the pot in the first weeks to catch harmless residue as the finish settles.

How deep should I insert it?
3–5 in (7–12 cm) for pots; deeper in soft beds. Always install at the edge of the root zone and never drive through the centre.

Can I use it outdoors year‑round?
Absolutely. Corten is made for weather. The warm, weathered finish actually protects the steel for long‑term use.

How do I repot with the trellis installed?
Water first, ease the stake out at the pot edge, repot, then reinsert at the new perimeter and re‑train stems loosely.

Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.

When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.

That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.

This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.

The Patina Process:

At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.

The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
