A place of its own.
Give the silhouette a clear backdrop and a spot you pass often. The changing light around the steel makes the place you choose part of the piece.
Steel that changes with the seasons.
Corten weathering steel develops a natural orange-brown rust patina outdoors. Rain, drying and exposure change the colour and pace of weathering. Keep rust runoff away from pale paving, walls and pots that could stain.
Find its place.
Choose sound timber with room for the silhouette. Hold the mounting spike at a slight downward angle and tap its thick end with a hammer or mallet until secure. Avoid striking fine cut details. Hard timber may need a pilot hole. Wear gloves and eye protection; tools are not included.
