MEET THE BIRD

Small bird. Definite attitude.

That upright tail does most of the talking. The Wren sits among leaf shapes, small enough to tuck beside the herbs and distinct enough to catch your eye from the window. A quiet corner can still have a resident with plenty of attitude.

MADE FOR OUTDOORS

Steel that changes with the seasons

Corten is weathering steel. Outdoors, the surface develops a rust-coloured patina, so the finish changes with the weather and the spot you choose. It arrives as unpainted steel; the colour and pace of weathering vary. Leave it unpainted and keep rust runoff away from pale paving, walls and other surfaces that could stain.

INSTALLATION

Choose a perch. Tap it in.

Choose sound timber on a sturdy post or wooden planter rim, with permission to install. Hold the mounting spike against the wood at a slight downward angle. Use gentle, controlled taps with a hammer or mallet on the thick end of the mounting spike, never the bird. Check it is secure before letting go. Keep sharp edges away from children and paths. Adults should handle installation.

READY TO GIVE

A small box with someone in mind.

For the friend who knows every bird in the backyard, or the gardener whose favourite part is the quiet five minutes afterwards. The Wren comes in a flat gift box, ready for a note in your own words.
